We've all heard the stories📖 The parting of the Red Sea. The walls of Jericho crumbling. Manna raining from heaven. These are the epic deeds of God, moments where He flexes His divine power💪🏾and leaves us in awe.
But what if there's something even more profound to be gleaned from these events? What if the real treasure lies not in the spectacle itself, but in what it reveals about God's character🤔?
That's the invitation we're extending to you this week, Kingdom FAM. Let's shift our focus from the "what" to the "who." Let's go beyond the surface-level amazement of His actions and delve into the depths of His heart. Because it's in knowing Him that we truly begin to understand ourselves🙌.
Think about it. We were created in His image and likeness. That means we carry within us the echoes of His love, His justice, His power💪🏾. But how often do we stop to listen? How often do we seek to align our own character with the One who crafted us😟?
This week, we're challenging you to do just that. Here are a few ways to get started:
- 🙏 Spend time in prayer and meditation. Ask God to reveal His character to you. Pay attention to the thoughts, feelings, and images that arise.
- 👓 Read Scripture with fresh eyes. Look for passages that showcase God's attributes and ask yourself how they resonate with your own life.
- 🧐 Reflect on the Fruit of the Spirit. What qualities do you want to embody this week that will be a reflection of the character of God to the people around you?
- 🫂 Serve others with love and compassion. This is one of the most powerful ways to reflect God's character to the world.
As we embark on this journey together, remember this: knowing God's character is not just an intellectual exercise. It's a transformative one. It's about aligning our hearts, minds, and actions with the One who calls us beloved. It's about embracing the person He created us to be🙌.
