14 Days of Love Challenge

Mark 12:30-31 NKJV
"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these"

Are you ready to learn to love?
Welcome Message!

Hey Kingdom Fam!!!

So happy that you are embarking on this journey with us. Traditionally the 14 days of Valentine's are spent giving gifts to your significant other and it is a big lead-up to Valentine's Day itself.

Well, we are going to be observing the 14 days of Valentine's but with a little twist. Rather than giving our attention to just one person, we are going to give that attention to God, to ourselves, and to those around us.

Our Love Challenge is based on Mark 12:30-31

Over these next 14 days, starting February 1st, we are going to be pouring out our love to God and spending quality time with Him. We are also going to be loving on ourselves and enjoying our own company. We are going to be setting aside some time to connect with those near and dear to our hearts.
Looking forward to doing this Challenge for myself but I am mostly looking forward to hearing the testimonies that will be coming from you all.

Thanks again for being a part and have a great 14 days just immersing yourself in love.

Your Sister in Christ

What do you need...

Daily Activity Details
(Days 1-7)

Day 1
Spend at least 1 hour with God, away from distractions, with a journal. During this
time, you want to be able to hear what God is saying to you about the next 14 days and to journal your sensings. However, you feel closest to God, whether it's speaking in tongues, praying prayers of exaltation, worshipping, etc., do it for 40 minutes, and then take the last 20 minutes to hear what He is saying and write it down.

Day 2
Call a friend you haven't spoken to for some time. Check to see how they are doing
and take time to catch up. Make sure that you take the time to focus on the conversation and not be busy doing other things.

Day 3
Do a date with just you. A day date or date night. If you need to get a babysitter then get one. Tonight you are either going to take yourself to your favorite restaurant. Watch a movie. Set up a bath at home with candles and relaxing music and listen to your favorite music. Whatever is your jam, take the time to enjoy yourself and your own company.

Day 4
Connect with the person closest to you, either family or a friend. Do a fun activity
with preferably your spouse, but if you do not have one or they are not around, find a close friend that you can spend the afternoon having fun with. Make sure you have babysitters on call that weekend.

Day 5
Spend the morning with God. Wake up before anybody else, get a cup of tea or
coffee, get your Bible and your notebook, find a cozy space and just spend time reading
God's Word, worshipping Him and praying.

Day 6
It's time for a mini facial before bed. And men, yes you can do this too. You just need
your face wash, toner, moisturizer and a mask. If you want to add some more steps, you can add a facial Scrub and a clay mask. It's time to take care of your face because it's the only face you have.

Day 7
Connect with the KLM Online Community at Share the Love Party where we gather together for an evening of Fun, laughter and fellowship.

(Days 8-13)

Day 8
Last time we connected with a friend, this week call a family member that you have
not connected with for some time. Same rules, make sure you make the space to focus on the conversation and not be distracted by other things.

Day 9
Today we are going to do a fast. We are breaking fast at 6 pm this evening. It is best if you can do water only. But if that is not possible then acceptable items are tea or coffee (no milk, no sugar), pure vegetable juice, pure fruit juice, soda water and coconut water. When yo break your fast, you are going to have a date with God. I know it sounds strange. But actually set up dinner like you are on a date and invite God to join you. Make sure to have a conversation with Him while you are eating. It may feel foolish at first, but it really can be refreshing. Make sure to have your journal nearby in case He drops some juicy nuggets you may want to remember.

Day 10
Do a date with the child(ren) that are closest to you. Go to the arcade. Or a movie.
Have a games night at home. Go to the beach. Play football in the park. Build a fort and do a movie night indoors or outdoors. Do a spa evening. Have a cooking with me evening. Play would you rather. Whatever it may be, choose that child (or teenager) that is the most precious in your life and just spend some part of the day with them giving them your full attention.

Day 11
After your day yesterday, you need to rest. Take at least 2 - 3 hours to do NOTHING. Take a nap. Read a good Christian fiction book or watch a great Christian movie.  Just kick back with your favorite food (hopefully it's not too unhealthy...lol) and just take a break for a couple of hours.

Day 12
Connect with someone new.  Yes we know! :) You can do it! Spend at 15 minuets conversing with someone new.

Day 13
As we come to a close, set aside at least 1 hour with Holy Spirit to just worship
Him. Put on some soaking worship music (no words) and just sing, pray and just be thankful for the season that you would have just experienced. Make sure to journal any thoughts that He downloads in your spirit

Day 14!

So we are going to do 3 things today.

1. In your morning devotion, you are going to write a letter to God just appreciating who He is and all that you are thankful for that He has done in your life.

2. We are going to write or text notes to the persons who are closest to us telling them how much you love and appreciate them (yes..kids too).

3. Lastly, you are going to buy yourself a Valentine's Day gift. Doesn't have to be anything big. But this gift is a representation of how much you appreciate yourself and how much you love the person that you are and who God created you to be.

We've Done It!

Congrats guys!!!!

We made it!!! We were able to love on God, ourselves, and others during this 14-day Love Challenge.

My prayer is that you don't just do this as a challenge but that it becomes a daily part of your lives and that consciousness has arisen in you to be more intentional in your love connections with God, yourself, and others.

Thank you for being with us on this journey and I look forward to doing many more challenges with you in the future.
